Julie has been dreaming of becoming an optometrist since middle school. Her journey began at age 15 when she had the opportunity to shadow Dr. E. After sitting in on her very first eye exam, Julie knew optometry was her true calling.

She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba and is now a student at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science. During term breaks, Julie works at Eyeris Eyecare as an ophthalmic technician, gaining valuable hands-on experience and learning from her mentors, including Dr. E. and the rest of the Eyeris team.

When she’s not studying or working, Julie can be found staying active outdoors, baking up something delicious, or learning a new language — always curious and always growing.
