Dr. Kalyn Gregory
Eye Doc by day, Dog Lover by Night
Dr. Kalyn Gregory grew up in Fisher Branch, MB on her family’s honey bee farm. She completed a Bachelor of Science with honours at the University of Manitoba. She then went on to Oregon and graduated from the Pacific University College of Optometry. During her optometric training, Dr. Gregory had a wide range of clinical experiences in the many fields of optometry. She discovered a passion and love for working with pediatric and binocular vision/vision therapy patients, and was presented with the COVD Excellence in Vision Therapy Award during her final year. She also enjoys working with contact lenses of all types as well as dry eye syndrome cases.
During her time in optometry school, Dr. Gregory was the president of her school’s SVOSH (Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) chapter AMIGOS Eye Care. This non-profit student/doctor run organization provides quality vision care at no cost to underserved people both locally and globally. As a part of this program, Dr. Gregory has travelled to Senegal and remote Nicaragua. She aspires to establish a VOSH group in Winnipeg to continue providing care on annual trips all over the world.
Dr. Gregory enjoys all outdoor activities, sun or snow, as long as she has her family, friends, and beagle by her side. She is very happy to be home in Manitoba and is looking forward to building new relationships with her patients.
